A Brand New Stage
For Culture

Culture at the heart of Huddersfield

Our Cultural Heart aims to reinvigorate the area of Huddersfield
town centre between Queensgate, Queen Street, King Street and
Victoria Lane.

With millions of people on its doorstep, Huddersfield provides
superb connectivity and is ideally located within the Leeds,
Manchester and Sheffield triangle.

The close proximity to major transport hubs makes Our Cultural
Heart easily accessible for all.

Getting Here

Walking

Our Cultural Heart has been designed to make walking around the area accessible, enjoyable and efficient. The introduction of major outdoor public spaces allows for a series of wide accessible paths that connect people directly to surrounding streets and buildings.

Cycling

The public spaces will include cycle parking for visitors and dedicated cycle lanes – helping to keep both cyclists and pedestrians safe.

General parking

Below The Venue will be a modern multi-storey car park with provision for 350 accessible spaces and EV charging facilities.

Public transport

Buses will travel around the perimeter of Our Cultural Heart, with several stops located along Peel Street, Queensgate and Queen Street. With the new integrated public spaces, people will be able to get from the bus stops to their destination in a quicker and more pleasant way than before.

Taxi and accessible parking

Taxi and accessible parking bays will be included along Queen Street, with the potential for more along Peel Street and Alfred Street.
